The planning for our trip is now full scale. For this post I just wanted to let you all know the general plan. I will be updating you on how we are planning in more detail in future posts, everything from our route to our gadgets and gear.
We will be planning up through Christmas, then we will be leaving on what we are calling our "primer trip" to Central America. We figured it would be a good idea to go out for about a month to test everything and tweak plans and what we're bringing when we get back. Another huge event in our lives we've been planning after Central America will be our wedding in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. A couple weeks after the wedding in mid March we will then be leaving for the big adventure.
At command central (our house) we have a huge world map with the push pins to plan. We are pretty much set for the month of January. We will be leaving on December 27th for El Salvador. From there we will go to Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and end in Panama. We are anxious to meet with some artisans and visit some markets in Central America.
