We're now in Antigua, Guatemala. This is a small colonial town at the foot of Volcan de Agua. It's a very picturesque place. We spent the day hanging out in the Parque Central and walking around on the cobble stone streets. This town is teaming with travelers with big cameras. I guess we fit right in. Although, we'd fit the part better if I had a beard and John Lennon glasses and Meg had zip-off pants and sport sandals. Another notable observation of Guatemala is the "pimp my ride buses". I would definitely like to see more color on our buses at home. We will be checking out more artisans and textiles tomorrow.

Hello,
for your information, this hotel of charm was highly recommended by a friend. The owners are a french couple, Isabel and Didier, that successfully ran the Ecolodge La Lancha in Peten (area where Tikal Guatemala is) that was later bought by Francis Ford Coppola. It has 5 rooms and it is located close to Convent Santo Domingo.
